Perkhill Holiday Cottages
"Macbeth's country. Award-winning Aberdeen Angus cattle. Private hot tubs on Royal Deeside."
Lumphanan is where Macbeth was killed in 1057. The three cottages at Perkhill are named accordingly β Macbeth's Retreat, Lady Macbeth's Rest (sleeps 4), and King Duncan's View (sleeps 8, a two-storey steading conversion with floor-to-ceiling windows and views across Royal Deeside).
The farm is run by Pippa and Alex and is serious: an award-winning Aberdeen Angus pedigree herd and a Green Tourism Gold commitment to sustainability. All cottages have private hot tubs, wood burning stoves, and underfloor heating. Utilities, logs, linen and towels are included. Dogs are very welcome β there is an enclosed rear garden.
Balmoral Estate is a short drive away. Glenshee ski resort is accessible in winter. Multiple whisky distilleries and golf courses are within easy reach. This is 25 miles from Aberdeen.
