Invercauld Estate
"200 square miles in the Cairngorms. Grouse. Stalking. Salmon on the Dee."
Invercauld is 200 square miles — approximately 95,000 acres of the Cairngorms National Park around Braemar. It encompasses 11 Munros, the upper reaches of the River Dee, driven grouse moors, red deer forest, ancient Caledonian pinewoods and over 70 livelihoods.
World-renowned for red grouse shooting, red stag stalking, and Atlantic salmon and sea trout fishing on the Dee. Much of the sport is taken by returning parties. The estate uses experienced gamekeepers, stalkers, and fishing ghillies. There is a catch-and-return policy on the Dee. Salmon season runs February through September.
Self-catering accommodation is available to let on an occasional basis — contact the Estate Office directly. Braemar Golf Club, Glenshee Ski Centre, Braemar Castle and the Braemar Highland Games are all within the estate or nearby.
