Aberdeenshire Highland Beef
"Grace Noble farms Highland cattle at Lochton of Leys. One tour will change how you think about Scottish beef."
Grace Noble left an 18-year council career to farm Highland cattle at Lochton of Leys near Banchory. She now runs one of Aberdeenshire's most distinctive visitor experiences: guided farm tours that bring small groups close to a herd of 100% pure pedigree Highland cattle โ horns, fringe, and all.
Tours last around two hours. Refreshments and homemade food are included. The group meets both show and meat cattle, watches the weighing and handling operations, and ends with a beef tasting and pop-up butchery, where Grace ages beef for 28 days in the farm chiller before selling it without pressure.
About 120 cattle. One carcass per week. One butcher. The story Grace tells is about the breed, Deeside land management, and why Highland cattle suit this terrain. Ranked as a favourite by North American visitors touring Scotland.

โInspirational Highland Beef farm tour
An open and enthusiastic manner throughout. We observed approximately 120 cattle, watched a cow and calf guided for photos, and ended with hot meat food at the farm. One of the best experiences we had in Scotland.
