Forest Farm — The Organic Dairy

Forest Farm became Scotland's first organic dairy in 1998. Run by the Willis family from Kinellar near Aberdeen, it is now Scotland's longest-established organic dairy and one of the most visited farm destinations in the region — over 250,000 visitors a year.
In 2017 they installed Scotland's first milk vending machine. Fresh organic milk, glass bottle, £1 a litre, available from 6:30am to 8pm every day. In 2019 they started making gelato — handmade in small batches using their own organic milk and homemade inclusions. Twenty flavours. In 2023 they opened a pizzeria with a Neapolitan oven imported from Naples. The gelato garden opens after dark under hundreds of twinkling lights. Certified by the Soil Association. Won UK Dairy Farm of the Year in 2015.
