Janet and Willie have farmed red deer at Broadbog Farm since 2016 — their family's connection to this Aberdeenshire land stretches back generations. The guided tour takes you through the herd, explains deer farming and sustainable land management, and ends with a tasting of their own venison.

Red deer are not domesticated the way cattle or sheep are. Getting close to them, understanding their rhythms, watching how a deer farmer manages them — it is unlike any other farm visit in this directory. Tours are available by appointment, Tuesday to Sunday, with private and group rates available.
